Oceanco Unveils Leviathan and Draak Ahead of the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show

Two extraordinary yachts. One visionary owner. A new chapter in collaborative yacht design.
When Oceanco arrives at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, it won’t simply be showcasing two remarkable yachts. It will be presenting a new way of thinking about yacht ownership, collaboration and purpose.
Making their public debut together are Leviathan (111m) and Draak (93m), two recently completed projects owned by Gabe Newell and developed as companion vessels within the Inkfish fleet.
For the first time, Oceanco will display both a new build and a comprehensive rebuild side by side, highlighting the breadth of expertise across its New Build and Life Cycle Support divisions.
Two Yachts. One Mission.

Unlike traditional support vessels, Leviathan and Draak were conceived as complementary expedition platforms.
Designed to operate together, they combine advanced exploration capabilities with a highly collaborative onboard environment. Both yachts support Inkfish’s scientific research initiatives, providing facilities that enable marine expeditions in some of the world’s most remote locations.
Rather than focusing solely on luxury, the projects demonstrate how modern superyachts can become platforms for discovery and innovation.
Designed Around People

One of the most striking aspects of Leviathan is its philosophy.
Delivered in late 2025, the 111-metre yacht challenges conventional superyacht layouts by encouraging interaction between guests and crew while reducing operational complexity through carefully selected low-maintenance materials.
Purpose-built facilities include:
- Dedicated dive centre
- Scientific laboratory
- Onboard hospital
- Spaces designed to maximise crew efficiency
- Flexible communal areas supporting collaboration
The result is a yacht built as much for exploration as for exceptional guest experiences.
A New Life for Draak

Originally built for an entirely different role, Draak completed an extensive rebuild through Oceanco Life Cycle Support, being delivered in June 2026.
The transformation has created a highly capable expedition yacht equipped with:
- Specialist diving facilities
- Heavy-duty lifting systems
- An extensive tender fleet
- Operational features shared with Leviathan
Together, the pair represent one of the most ambitious companion yacht programmes ever undertaken.
Technology Supporting Discovery
Speaking about the project, Gabe Newell explained that Inkfish’s objective is simple:
“We work with scientists to understand what’s helpful, then look at how our technology, tools and resources can best support their mission.”
That philosophy extends beyond the yachts themselves.
Since joining Oceanco in 2025, Newell has overseen continued growth across the Oceanco Group, expanding its collaborative ecosystem with additional specialist companies while encouraging new approaches to yacht design, construction and operation.
As he puts it:
“Our aim is to identify interesting technologies, prototype them and move them into production.”
Monaco Yacht Show 2026
Visitors to this year’s Monaco Yacht Show will be able to view both Leviathan and Draak at the cruise terminal, alongside Oceanco’s hospitality spaces and programme of events throughout the week.
For anyone interested in the future of custom yacht building, they offer a fascinating glimpse into what becomes possible when owner vision, advanced engineering and collaborative design come together.
As Oceanco continues to welcome new build and major rebuild commissions, these two yachts stand as compelling examples of what’s achievable when convention is left behind.
